About recalls and updates

You often submit a design with the intention of recalling it after you have examined it in a live context. For example, you submit a design in progress to examine it in context, then recall it for further design development. Or you submit one of two alternative designs and recall it so that you can submit the other and choose between them.

In fact, you don't need to recall a design to work on it further. You can submit an unfinished design, leave it live, and work on the design further in a site design view. Submitting the same design again updates the live site.

Updates involving substantial design changes can sometimes produce confused results. If this happens, try recalling the updated design, checking and fixing it, and resubmitting.
